WoW: This is why raids have become the worst part of the game according to Asmongold
Raids are a big part of the end game in almost every MMO. In WoW, too, we're drawn to a wide variety of raids. But these are "now boring and not really worth it," says Asmongold. In the stream, he talked about why raids in WoW are no longer the gold standard in the MMO sector.

"I don't think Raiden is fun at all anymore," he explained while playing New World. "Raids usually just consist of waiting for the dumbest person in the group to figure out the mechanics."
"And then you have to be careful not to make a big mistake yourself while the others are trying to get all the mechanics right," he adds.
On top of that, there's no real incentive for players in WoW (buy now €14.99 ) to complete raids: "I'd be a lot more excited about raids if there was a goal for them. What is the goal of raids? The goal of a raid in WoW is basically just to finish the raid, then you don't get anything."
"If finishing raids would help you, give you something, then maybe it would be okay," he continued. "And what's worse, a new patch will erase everything again."
Since the introduction of Mythic-Plus dungeons, you can boost your character's item level without raids, especially in Shadowlands. Finishing a raid is prestigious for some due to the time-advance or frontrunner achievement, ever new systems like Shard of Domination, but also the aforementioned fact that raid equipment will be completely devalued with the next patch, makes raiding in WoW hardly exciting anymore. Just recently, we had to state here that raids have either become too hard, or half of the raiders have disappeared since the first raid tier of WoW Shadowlands.
