WoW: Confusion about maintenance work on Wednesday evening (Update)

On Wednesday, October 6, scheduled maintenance will take place in WoW. From 22:00 to 23:00 the servers will be unavailable. So instead of working over night, the realms of WoW will be worked on already in the late evening. For some guilds, this should mean an early end to the raid evening. Especially on Wednesday, many guilds raid between 7 and 11 pm.

: The German Twitter account of Blizzard customer support also gives only a vague answer when asked. The game itself "should" continue to be available between 10 pm and 11 pm, only friend lists and similar functions, but also the login are affected. Well, to play the player must be logged in...The guesswork continues as to whether additional prime time raid maintenance for EU players will actually occur for the first time.

In addition, the usual maintenance work will take place at usual times from 03:00 to 04:00. If you don't look in the box on the left of the login screen or at the mini exclamation mark icon in battle.net, you may miss this "scheduled" work. So adjust your raid times accordingly if necessary.
Why is there double maintenance all of a sudden?
The developers have not given a reason yet. And no, this does not speak for a release patch 9.1.5. The update should be at least two weeks away.
