WoW: Riding in the maw? With patch 9.1 finally possible on all mounts!

The Maw is one of the most unpopular areas in WoW Shadowlands. There are several reasons for this. On the one hand, we can't stay in it for long, because the Eye of the Dungeon Master makes things more difficult for us with every activity in the Maw. But on the other hand, it's also because most of us are still on foot there. Because our mounts don't listen to our calls there and leave us in the lurch. In short, we can't ride in the maw. The only exceptions are the Corridor Creeper and the Mawbound Soul Hunter. You get the former after successfully completing all eight levels of the Sinuous Corridors in Torghast. The latter with a lot of luck while hunting the Scheme Dogs in the Beast Maze of the Maw. So if you can ride a horse, you'll always be on one of these two mounts.

As game designer Jeremy Feasel casually mentioned in the WoW panel, our mounts in the Maw will soon listen to our calls again. Because in the upcoming patch, we will take the war against the dungeon master to his home, the maw, and strengthen our position and power there. Then we will finally no longer be forced to ride around with the same mounts. Fittingly, there are also a few new mounts to capture in the maw.

By the way, we can then also spend more time in the maw. Because in the course of expanding our power, we also stop the eye of the dungeon master, which then no longer permanently watches us in the maw and makes our lives difficult. Whether this will be the case right at the beginning, or whether we will first have to defeat the eye, which will face us as a boss in the new raid Sanctum of Domination, is not yet known. However, since we'll be spending a lot of time in the new Maw area, Korthia, in Patch 9.1, it's unlikely that the Eye will have to be stopped via the Raid.
