WoW: Legendary Cloak Rank 15 - Collect Malicious Cores for the First Time

Once again this week you can upgrade your Ashjra'kamas Legendary Cloak by one level. If you've been keeping up, you can increase your Corruption Resistance from 50 to 53 in this ID. From this rank on, neither the cloak's item level nor the protection of your Mental Health in the Visions of N'Zoth will increase. Each subsequent upgrade only increases Corruption Resistance by three points. The

upgrades

require a new item called Evil Core

.

You can get it from rank 15 onwards either once by defeating N'Zoth (in normal, heroic, or mythic mode) or through a vision in which all four bonus zones have been successfully completed. Unlike last week's announcement, you do not need to activate any masks for the Evil Core. This means that upgrading will be faster from now on. Also, you can save your Manifested Visions (for example, if it's the unpopular Stormwind week) and defeat N'Zoth instead.

Rules for the Catch-Up mechanic from rank 15
If you have only gained 50 Corruption Resistance this week, you can still achieve rank 53 Resistance through the Catch-Up mechanic. However, since the Malignant Core is only available once from N'Zoth and once from the Visions, you'll have to grind both sources for two upgrades. It's a similar story with the catch-ups after that: You can get two upgrades per week, but only one each from N'Zoth and the Visions.
