WoW Shadowlands: If you want all Legendarys, you can't avoid PvP

PvP in WoW is truly not everyone's cup of tea. In principle, that's not a problem either. Those who prefer to play PvE turn off the war mode, stay away from arenas and battlegrounds, and don't have to deal with player-versus-player combat. Every now and then, however, there are situations where players feel compelled to do the unloved PvP after all. In Battle for Azeroth, for example, the essence of Conflict and Secondary is such a case. It is one of the best essences for most playstyles and can only be obtained through PvP, which you can hear many players grumbling about in the forums. With the upcoming expansion Shadowlands, however, the essences are history for the time being and the problem will be unnecessary. However, there is already another problem on the horizon, because Blizzard is in danger of making the same mistake again.

In Shadowlands, the essences, Azerite Perks and Corruption effects will be dropped and replaced by the new Legendarys (with partly old effects), among others. We have to make these ourselves, for which we need the appropriate recipes and resources. The latter we get Torghast, the endless dungeon located in the depths of the maw. The recipes, on the other hand, are available from various, different sources. Each recipe is assigned to a specific source, so you know exactly where to go to get the template in question. So far so good. The new feature that these recipes are unlocked directly account-wide is also seen very positively by most players. However, as the Shadowlands beta progresses, the first sources of legendary recipes are slowly being revealed. And one of them is the PvP Trader.

These include a general effect for all classes, as well as various class-specific recipes. However, you have to give the developers credit for the fact that these templates are mostly effects whose influence on pure DpS, healing or survivability is likely to be rather small. Therefore, they will hardly be the first choice for PvE players. However, with the amount of new effects in Shadowlands (Pact skills, Soulbonds, and the appropriate media), it can quickly happen that the best Legendary is one of those from the PvP merchant, which would lead to a big outcry. If the balancing fits, then only complete players would have to play in PvP, which would certainly bring much less displeasure with it.The

following Legendarys are currently available for purchase in the beta at the PvP dealer

  • Sephuz's Proclamation: Reduces the effect of control effects on you by 10 percent. Casting a control effect, interrupt, or removing a spell increases your secondary stats by X for 15 seconds. Can only occur every 30 seconds.
    • Slot: Neck, Shoulders, Chest
• Death Knight
  • Grip of the Everlasting: After using Death Grip, you can use the spell again within three seconds, despite the cooldown.
    • Slot: Belt, Shoes
• Demon Hunter
  • Darkest Hour: Darkness automatically triggers when you fall below 35 percent health. Can trigger maximum every 2 minutes.
    • Slot: Chest, Pants
• Druid
  • Druid Runecarve 1: The effect of Thick Fur, Astral Influence, Nature's Swiftness, and Ysera's Gift are increased by 75 percent. When you change to your affinity's form, you gain ten seconds of Heart of the Wild. Can only occur once per minute.
    • Slot: Wrist, Ring
• Hunter
  • Nessingwary's Trapping Apparatus: Whenever one of your traps is triggered, you receive 25 focus.
    • Slot: Belt, Shoes
• Mage
  • Grisly Icicle: Your Frost, Fire, and Arcane damage is increased by 10% against targets affected by Frost Nova and no longer breaks its effect.
    • Slot: Helmet, Shoulder
• Monk
  • Roll Out: Roll has an additional charge
    • Slot: Belt, Shoes
• Paladin
  • Uther's Guard: The cooldown of Blessing of Freedom, Blessing of Sacrifice, Blessing of Spell Protection, and Blessing of Protection is reduced by one second for each Holy Power spent.
    • Slot: Wrist, Ring
• Priest
  • Vault of Heavens: Leap of Faith now lets you fly to your intended target and has two charges.
    • Slot: Wrist, Ring
• Rogue
  • Invigorating Shadowdust: Disappearance reduces the remaining cooldown of all your other abilities by X seconds.
    • Slot: Neck, Chest
• Shaman
  • Chains of Devastation: Chain Heal makes your next Chain Lightning Bolt a spontaneous spell. Chain Lightning Bolt makes your next chain heal a spontaneous spell.
    • Slot: Neck, Chest
• Warlock
  • Pillars of the Dark Portal: Demonic Gate is now a spontaneous spell and the first use of the gate does not cause a cooldown.
    • Slot: Neck, Chest
• Warrior
  • Leaper: Heroic Leap gets two more recharges.
    • Slot: Belt, Shoes
